Important Tips

  • As the aluminum reflects microwaves, narrow strips of aluminum foil may be placed on the borders and on the most sensitive parts of the food (meat, fish and poultry), working like a shield and providing a more uniform thawing and cooking. Remember to prevent the foil from touching the walls of the microwave oven or grill to avoid sparking.
  • If you are using a turntable dish, put the package on the center of the plate, note if the aluminum package has not been placed amiss or if the oven is not on an uneven surface, which could make the package slip to a corner.
  • When removing the aluminum package from the microwave oven, wear a protective glove, because it will be hot.
